HOW TO GET HERE:

QuerÉtaro Airport
The best way to get to Querétaro is to fly directly to the new Querétaro Airport (QRO) located about 25 minutes by car from downtown.
Continental has direct flights from Houston, and Delta from Atlanta.
Students can take a taxi from the Querétaro Airport to their accommodation. Taxis charge approx $20 USD/one way (This price may vary).

Mexico City Airport
From the Mexico City Airport (MEX), it is a three-hour bus trip to Querétaro on the Primera Plus (Aeroplus) bus line.  Tickets cost $25 USD one way (may vary).  Buses leave directly from the airport.
Most older teenagers and adults are able, by themselves, to take the bus to Querétaro, then to get a taxi at the Querétaro Bus Station to take them to their home stay.

There are two terminals in the Mexico City Airport. Buses to Querétaro leave from both terminals. First they leave from Terminal 2, they stop at Terminal 1 and leave to Querétaro.

TERMINAL 2:
You should leave the international customs area and make a right. Walk straight ahead until the end. Go out of the windowed doors and you will see the bus terminal. You have to buy the ticket first at the ticket stand for Primera Plus buses to Queretaro and then proceed to board the next bus. There you will find clearly marked signs which indicate the destination areas; look for the one that says “Querétaro”.

TERMINAL 1:
You should leave the international customs area and find and escalator to the second floor. You will notice the food court. Proceed directly through the food court and take a right into a windowed hallway. Straight ahead you will notice the “ticket sales” stand. Here you may purchase your bus ticket to Querétaro.
Once you buy your ticket you can either take the elevator or the escalator to the floor below where you’ll find the bus boarding areas. There you will find clearly marked signs which indicate the destination areas; look for the one that says “Querétaro”.

••(This is the last bus so please make sure you will arrive to México City at least an hour and a half before so you will have enough time to go through customs). ••

On arrival to Querétaro bus station, students can take a taxi to their accommodation (approx. $5 to $7 USD/one way, this price may vary). You will have to buy your ticket inside the terminal at the taxi ticket sales stand (have your accommodation address with you).  Then proceed outside the station where you will show your ticket to the person in charge of the line of taxis or to the taxi that is in the front of the line.
